Great sky! Didn't you say once that in many paintings of yours is not much sky or do I remember that incorrectly?

I do avoid the sky and especially the horizon. Now I'm wondering about the abstract opportunities in just skies.

I never realized how involved pastel painting was till I read the supply list for this workshop I'm taking. I should have having seen your beautiful work, like this one, with such depth of field. I like the abstract quality too--the dark cloud stopped still in the sky by the muted landscape below. Interesting. Poetic.

Thanks for looking, Linda. The use of space is a metaphor for the sky, I think. Still pondering, and it looks like I may have to do another.
