I am learning a lot from Degas, and will post about it some in the future.

His figures are surprising the more you look.

Nice. Love that warm burnt-orange and the simplicity.
"At the bar"--I was expecting to see vodka--I think it's supposed to be "barre" for ballet. ?

I looked it up, Jala, since my knowledge of both French and the ballet are next to nothing. Lucky for me, the spelling in American can be "bar." Whew.

I totally ripped the colors from the master's drawing. OTOH, the brown (Burnt Sienna, I want to say) is a jumbo pastel that I made myself.
