Yesterday, in The Colorist, you threw around the muscular promise of "intensity". You made good by concurrently publishing this exciting bit of intense abstraction. Works for me!

You are very kind, Sam!

Now, I only post this quote because it is hanging on my studio wall:

Ben Franklin said, "Words may show a man's wit, but actions his meaning."

The colors are indeed intense. This is very beautiful and not so abstract. Without the title, I do know I'm looking at a pond and there is great depth in the scene. I love the little bright spots against the forest greens/grays. I love your use of grays

Thank you for looking at this, Linda.

I have also been enjoying your blog - you are being creative and it pushes me to stay at it, too.

Bold blue steals the show here. Of course, the blue looks even more bold because of the masterful use of neutrals!! Gorgeous!

Thanks, Kvan! I have to admit I did go in to push the blues. First oranges and Indian reds, but then I covered much of that with olive green.

I think this is one of my favorites of your recent works. the intense blues are just gorgeous and your use of color throughout. the movement with your storkes is genius.
I really love this!
