Time I stopped by to say how much I like these paintings of trees you've been doing. Glorious colour! They made me pull out my Wolf Kahn books again. Even if they're unlikely to have much effect on my working practice at the moment, they're always a joy.

Intuitive color in trees has been an odyssey for me the past few years.

I love the four-color boats painting Harry Bell just posted at his blog, folks. Not at all like the "colored rowboats" that are common subjects these days. Harry has made it uniquely his own, and based on plein air study. Fantastic stuff!
